An Ivoryton man and another man from Deep River have been arrested by state police on charges related to a series of home burglaries in Haddam, Killingworth, and Deep River.

Evan Pinette, 23, of 40 Comstock Avenue in Ivoryton, and Salvatore Graham, 27, of 37 Sylvan Terrace in Deep River, were arrested after a Nov. 12 motor vehicle stop on Route 148 in Killingworth. Each man was charged with first degree larceny, third degree burglary, conspiracy to commit larceny and burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of narcotics.

State police at the Troop F barracks in Westbrook said a trooper spotted items in the vehicle that has been reported stolen earlier in the day from a home on Orchard Road in Haddam. A search revealed numerous stolen items, including a Rolex watch, a flat screen television, a Playstation 3 video game console, a pewter coffee set and jewelry. Police also found syringes and heroin in the vehicle.

State police said identifications made by the alleged victims have linked the items found in the vehicle to as many as nine home burglaries in Haddam, Deep River, and Killingworth. Middlesex Superior Court Judge Patrick Clifford set a bond of $20,000 for Pinette and $27,000 for Graham when the two men were arraigned at court in Middletown on Friday.
