Is LocalOnlineNews.TV in trouble? Why are you doing this?
We’re doing just fine and plan to be around for quite awhile. As we build a new model for delivering local news we will be experimenting with new revenue models as well. Many independent artists and news providers are finding success with optional subscription models like this one. Consider it a “tip jar” for Charlie Stannard and our other talented reporters who are working hard to keep you informed.

Are subscriptions refundable? Can I cancel later?
Subscriptions are not refundable. You can cancel at anytime through our payment processing service to stop future recurring payments. Instructions for cancellation will be on the confirmation email you will receive after signing up.

Where does the money go?
Directly to our reporters. All revenue from the subscription program, after sales tax and payment processing fees, will go directly to our reporters each month.

What’s in it for me?
Right now subscribers will not see any additional benefits beyond the satisfaction of supporting quality local news content. We may in the future put together subscriber-only events or offer exclusive subscriber-only web-based services.

Who processes the payments? Is it safe?
We are using Amazon.com, the Internet’s largest retailer, for our payment processing service. They will charge your credit card monthly in the amount you specify and deposit the funds into our bank account. Amazon will email you a confirmation after each monthly transaction that will include instructions for cancelation or adjusting payment options. We will never see nor process your credit card directly.

Is this a donation? Can I write this off my taxes?
LocalOnlineNews.TV LLC is a business and therefore subscriptions are not donations and are not tax deductible.

Can I advertise instead?
Of course! Contact us and we will build a customized and affordable advertising program for your business.
