Tri-Town Substance Abuse Prevention Council Meeting on December 2nd

The next meeting of the Tri-Town Substance Abuse Prevention Council will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Tri-Town Youth Services, 56 High Street in Deep River.

The Directors of Youth and Family Services of Haddam-Killingworth and East Haddam Youth and Family Services, Cheryl Chandler and Toni McCabe, respectively, will present with Tri-Town Youth Services Director, Gail Onofrio on recent accomplishments of Together We Can, a collaboration of the three youth service bureaus.

Following this presentation, attendees will have an opportunity for discussion, facilitated by Linda Fecteau of Creating Opportunities for Youth. This focus group will elicit strategies to develop ideas that came out of the Community Forum on Youth Issues.

Membership on this Council is open to all who live or work in Chester, Deep River, or Essex who are concerned about substance abuse and interested in its prevention. Please join us to share your thoughts, to learn more about prevention, and to get involved. For more information, call 526-3600.
